Storage Unit Melbourne: An Answer To Clutter?

by securese on February 25, 2010

I know people resort to renting a storage unit in Melbourne for more important or “complicated” reasons such as moving houses, wanting to keep precious mementos, important paperwork or heirloom pieces safe and protected or going on long vacations with a lease contract about to expire in the middle of the trip, but for me I simply need a storage unit to put end to clutter. That’s it, plain and simple – put an end to clutter.

Clutter, clutter, clutter… There really is no end in sight at my house as far as clutter is concerned. The sad thing is I don’t know why it is so. I like to clean and I keep my things fairly organized precisely because I hate a cluttered house, but clutter always manages to win the battle against me every time.

I’m no hoarder but I guess I am a bit of a pack-rat. I “like keeping things”, nothing of the really precious kind such as antique pieces handed down from early generations and costing a fortune, but just things I grew up with – things that I have been accustomed to having around the house, things that were too pretty to use up like scented stationeries (whose scents have long evaporated), ordinary dinnerware I used to eat on (yes even just the plastic ones), dried roses, old school books, magazines and even gift boxes and wrappers I lovingly and carefully unfolded to take the creases out.

Do I need a storage unit or psychological help? I’ll settle for a storage unit Melbourne for now.
